Frequently Asked Questions

We've compiled the most common questions to help you understand how the challenges and rewards work, and how to use the app

    • What is Movva?

Movva is a fitness activity challenge app for friends, groups, and communities. Each challenge has its own rules, defined timeframe, ranking, and can have a cash prize, a custom prize, or no prize.

    • How do I create my account?

You can create an account with email and password or by using Apple login. During signup, we also set your country and account currency to organize payments, challenges, and withdrawals correctly.

    • Which currencies are accepted?

Today the app supports only BRL, USD, and NZD. Your account currency is used for paid challenges, in-app balance, and withdrawals.

    • How do I create a challenge?

Tap create challenge and fill in title, description, dates, member limit, approval requirement, only activity app option, scoring mode, and prize type.

    • What prize types are available?

You can choose a cash prize, a custom prize (defined by the creator), or no prize.

    • How does a member-funded cash prize work?

Each participant pays the entry fee to join. The collected amount becomes the challenge prize and is distributed at the end according to the scoring rule.

    • How does a creator-funded cash prize work?

In this format, the creator pays the prize amount. Other participants join without paying to fund the prize.

    • Who wins the challenge?

The winner is the person at the top of the ranking at the end of the challenge period, according to the selected scoring rule. In case of a tie, the prize may be split equally among winners.

    • How do I join a challenge?

You join using an invite code or link. If the challenge requires approval, your entry stays pending until an admin approves it.

    • Can I join multiple challenges at the same time?

Yes. You can participate in multiple challenges at the same time, as long as you follow each challenge's rules.

    • What does an approval-required challenge mean?

It means the creator or an admin must approve your request before you can officially participate.

    • What can admins do?

Admins can approve members, remove, ban, unban, and delete check-ins when needed. They cannot edit check-ins created by other users.

    • What is the only activity app option?

When enabled, the challenge accepts only check-ins imported from an activity app (for example, Apple Fitness). Manual check-ins are blocked.

    • How do I add a check-in?

You can import a workout from an activity app or create one manually with title, description, date/time, duration, distance, calories, and an optional image.

    • Can I edit or delete my check-in?

Yes. The check-in creator can edit it within up to 2 hours after creation and delete it within up to 2 days. After that, edit/delete by the creator is blocked.

    • How does calorie scoring work?

Your score is the sum of all valid calories recorded in your check-ins during the challenge period.

    • How does distance scoring work?

Your score is the sum of all valid distance recorded in your check-ins.

    • How does active-days scoring work?

Each day in which you have at least one valid check-in counts as an active day in the ranking.

    • How does number-of-check-ins scoring work?

Each valid check-in adds 1 point to the ranking.

    • Can I change prize and scoring after the challenge starts?

No. After the challenge starts, changing prize settings or scoring mode is not allowed.

    • If I leave a paid challenge, do I get a refund?

No. In cash-prize challenges, the paid amount already becomes part of the prize. Refund is only available if the challenge is canceled.

    • When is a refund allowed?

Only when a paid challenge is canceled. This applies to both member-funded and creator-funded challenges.

    • In a creator-funded challenge, who can request a refund if it is canceled?

If the challenge is canceled by the creator or an admin, only the creator can request a refund of the amount paid to fund the prize.

    • How is the refund amount calculated?

The refund is calculated as the total amount paid minus payment platform fees.

    • Where does the refunded amount go?

The amount is credited to your in-app balance. Then you can use this balance in new challenges or request a withdrawal.

    • How does in-app balance work?

Your balance is real money in your account currency. You can use it for entry discounts (up to 50%) and also request withdrawals.

    • What is the minimum withdrawal amount?

The minimum withdrawal is 5 units in your account currency (BRL 5, USD 5, or NZD 5).

    • How do I set up a withdrawal account?

In your profile, set up your withdrawal account. For BRL, provide PIX details. For USD/NZD, provide the required details for Wise transfers.

    • Are withdrawals automatic?

No. You need to request withdrawals manually when you have available balance.

    • How long does a withdrawal take?

Initiation/processing can take up to 5 business days. Final timing may vary depending on banks, holidays, and verification checks.

    • Are there withdrawal fees?

For BRL via PIX, there is no withdrawal fee. For USD/NZD via Wise, the transfer fee is charged to the user and calculated by Wise at request time.

    • How do payment fees work when joining a challenge?

In paid challenges, the checkout total may include Stripe processing fees. Everything must be shown clearly before payment confirmation.

    • How are my data protected?

Movva uses security measures and collects only the data needed for app operation, payments, withdrawals, and support.

    • How long is my data stored?

General account data is kept for 1 year after an account deletion request. Payment and transaction data is kept for 5 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.

    • Is Movva a betting app?

No. Movva is not a betting platform. Results depend on real performance measured through check-ins and activity metrics.

    • Does Movva provide medical advice?

No. The app does not provide medical diagnosis or medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional before changing your exercise routine.

    • How can I contact support?
